Neighborhood Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Household Waste Event

Spring is a great time to clear out the garage — and this year, MSRNA is making it easy to do it responsibly. We’ve organized a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event for neighborhood association members on Saturday, June 6th from 1:00–3:00 PM at Willamette & the Shooks Run Trail.

Not a MSRNA member yet?
No problem — join on the spot for just $15/year and bring your waste that same day.

What’s Accepted (Original containers, 5-gal or less)

  • Household cleaners
  • Lawn & garden chemicals
  • Latex paint & stains
  • Oil-based paints & solvents

What’s NOT Accepted

  • Automotive fluids of any kind (motor oil, antifreeze, gasoline, etc.)
  • Batteries, electronics, or fluorescent lighting
  • Tires, mattresses, medications, or sharps
  • Commercial or industrial waste

How It Works

1. Download and complete your form. Every household must bring a signed Certification Liability Release Form. A limited number will be available at the collection point, but please print yours in advance.

2. Prepare your items. All waste must be in its original, labeled container, securely sealed. Do not combine materials in bags or mix different products together — certain chemicals can react dangerously when mixed. Containers larger than five gallons cannot be accepted, and no containers will be returned.

3. Drop off. Bring your completed form and prepared items to Willamette & the Shooks Run Trail between 1:00 and 3:00 PM on June 6th. Present items in a single layer so they’re visible at drop-off.
