Citizen Input: COS Transportation Safety Action Plan — Deadline April 2

The City of Colorado Springs has released a draft Transportation Safety Action Plan (SAP) — and they want to hear from residents before April 2, 2026.

This plan was developed in response to a significant rise in aggressive driving, serious injury crashes, and traffic fatalities across the city. It outlines strategies to improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists throughout the transportation network — topics that directly affect walkability and safety in Middle Shooks Run.

Here’s how you can weigh in:

The plan is expected to be adopted in May 2026, so now is the time to make sure our neighborhood’s voice is part of it. Whether you walk the trail, bike to work, or just want safer streets for your family — this is your chance to be heard.
