Middle Shooks Run neighbors will be cleaning up Shooks Run creek on April 27, 2024, between 10am and noon.
Every year the Great American Cleanup is hosted by Keep America Beautiful. It’s the nation’s largest community improvement program and takes place annually in 20,000 communities.
The Fountain Creek Watershed District assists in hosting in the Pikes Peak region. Middle Shooks Run Neighborhood Association is part of the cleanup every year with Shooks Run neighbors pitching in to clean up Shooks Run creek.
How to participate: We’ve scheduled April 27th for this one-day springtime cleanup. Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to volunteer and clean up a park, waterway, open space, or drainage ditch.
To participate in cleaning Shooks Run creek with your neighbors, come to the corner of Willamette & Franklin in Shooks Run Park on Saturday, April 27, between 10am and noon. You can register there and pick up gear (trash bags, etc). Please wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves if you have them–if not we will have gloves for you.
