UPDATE 12:00 p.m. March 24: The motion to reconsider the vacation on Boulder St did not pass. The application to vacate the Boulder St Right-of-way (SUBD-25-0076) remains denied.
We have an update to share following last week’s City Council vote on the Palmer High School Boulder Street vacation.
What happened
On March 10, City Council voted 4–4 on the motion to approve the vacation of E. Boulder Street, which meant the motion failed. Since then, Councilmember Brandy Williams has filed a motion to reconsider the item. If the motion passes at the March 24 meeting, the vacation will be reconsidered and voted upon at that same meeting or a future date.
Councilmember Williams must state the basis for her motion at the meeting, including any conditions or applicable facts. That statement will provide important context for the path forward.
What neighbors can do
The March 24 City Council meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. at City Council Chambers, 107 N. Nevada Ave., 3rd Floor.
